Chelsea Clinton is the daughter of former U.S. president Bill Clinton and New York senator (and former First Lady) Hillary Clinton. Chelsea was 12 when Bill Clinton was elected president; she began studies at Stanford University in 1997, graduating four years later with a history degree. She then studied at University College at Oxford, where her father was a Rhodes Scholar in 1968-70. Although she was rarely the subject of media scrutiny while living in the White House, she has since made occasional appearances in gossip columns for her associations with celebrities, including Madonna and Gwyneth Paltrow.
