Celso Ayala Biography

Celso Rafael Ayala Gaviln (born August 20, 1970 in Asuncin, Paraguay) is a Paraguayan football defender.

With 85 caps and 6 goals, he is one of the most capped players in the Paraguayan national team. During his career he played for Club Olimpia of Paraguay, Real Betis and Atltico de Madrid of Spain, and River Plate of Argentina, where he won the Copa Libertadores and Supercopa Sudamericana in the mid 90's. For the 2006 season, he signed for Colo-Colo of Chile.
