Catalina Maya was born in Medellin, Colombia on July 28, 1980. She started out in the modelling world since she was age 13 for an agency called Informa of Medellín, and since then she has participated in many commercials, and publicitary campaigns. It wasn't until recently that Aló magazine called her to be the cover girl, making her reach fame faster. She is currently famous for her work in Europe and has expressed disdain towards travelling to the USA.
