Bryan Clay has won gold medal in Men's athletics-Decathlon at 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.
Apart from Beijing Bryan has won the silver medal at the 2004 Olympics, finished first at the 2005 World Championships, and won the gold medal at the 2008 Olympics in the decathlon.His victory margin of 240 points in the 2008 Olympics was the largest since 1972.He was unable to compete in the 2007 World Championships due to injuries.
Bryan Clay was born in Austin, Texas and raised in Hawaii. He is of Multiracial descent, being part African American and Japanese American.
As far as education is concerned , Bryan did his graduation from James B. Castle High School (Kaneohe, Hawaii) in the year 1998. He competed in track and field during high school, where he was coached by Dacre Bowen and Martin Hee. He then took admission in Azusa Pacific University, an Evangelical Christian college near L.A., where he competed in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics and was coached by Kevin Reid, who still coaches him. Clay still trains at Azusa Pacific University. Bryan Clay took the decision to take part in competition in the decathalon after persuasion from olympian Chris Huffins.
In personal life, Bryan Clay and his wife have a son and a daughter.
