Bruce Vilanch (born November 23, 1948) is an American gag writer who turned into a celebrity after becoming a wisecracking regular on the revamped Hollywood Squares game show, next to Whoopi Goldberg in the left center square. He is openly gay and is notable for breaking the Hollywood stereotype of a homosexual man. An obese man, his trademark appearance includes long blonde hair, a big, bushy beard, and glasses. He has a penchant for wearing wacky t-shirts and purports to have the largest collection in the world.
