A young talent who has ranked as high as second in the U.S. Taylor was the runner-up at the 2004 Olympic Trials before finishing seventh at the Olympic Games in Athens…she became an NCAA champion and world-class competitor in 2001…her success started with a U.S. leading win at the Penn Relays 400mH (56.11) in April and continued two trips to Eugene, Ore., and historic Hayward Field, when Taylor won her first NCAA championship and qualified for her first world team appearance…in early June, she won the 400m hurdles at the NCAA Outdoor Championships (55.88) and then followed that performance with a third place finish in the USA Outdoor Championship finals (55.99) a few weeks later…a standout at Harvard, Taylor was awarded the 2000-01 Honda Award as the top women’s collegiate athlete in the sport of track & field...in her four-year career at Harvard, Taylor won 19 individual/relay Heps titles and owns or shares 10 school records.
