Robert Alan Labonte (born May 8, 1964) is an American driver and drives for the Petty Enterprises NASCAR Racing Team in the Nextel Cup Series. His car, number 43, is sponsored by Cheerios and Betty Crocker. The 43 car was made famous by driver Richard Petty, but prior to Labonte signing with Petty Enterprise to drive, the 43 team had fallen on hard times with no race victories since 1999.
Labonte was the first driver to win both the NASCAR Winston Cup championship (2000) and the NASCAR Busch Series championship (1991). He also won the IROC (International Race Of Champions) title in 2001.
From 1995 to 2005, Labonte drove for the Joe Gibbs Racing Team where his car, number 18, was sponsored by Interstate Batteries. In 1993 (his rookie season) and 1994, he drove the number 22 Maxwell House car for Bill Davis Racing.
Bobby was born in Corpus Christi, Texas. His older brother, Terry, is also a prominent NASCAR driver; the two are the only brothers to have both won the championship in NASCAR's top series (the other family pairs to have titles, Lee and Richard Petty and Ned and Dale Jarrett, are father-son combinations).
Below is a list of all of the different NASCAR teams for which Bobby Labonte has driven at the Winston/Nextel Cup level, and the companies who sponsored him in each year.
